Form & Space
Born out of the flow of large sweeping movements with my body, my site-specific works are usually ephemeral. Most of these works are composed of detritus from many artists studios and are primarily fields of paint scraps.
What ultimately and literally happens before our eyes is the birth of a work of art, a Painting, fresh, new, joyful, dancing and free, and what is more, freed from its support: the canvas.
-Daniel Buren, from his essay Paint Chip, Jarcy, June 2020
