Form & Space > Her Royal Majesty

I have come up with my first free-standing installation constructed in the spirit of childhood play for this exhibition. Over the past couple of years, I have been experimenting with color and transparency as well as lighting. I have also explored the function of exhibition spaces as a stage for activity, something which allows for the possibility of continual change within a work. For "Her Royal Majesty" I have collected furniture to create a structure to support my paint and resin pieces which are attached to a large sheet of broad width muslin. In addition to the paint, resin, fabric and furniture, I will also use lights to illuminate certain areas of the fabric and cast shadows on others. "Her Royal Majestry" will only exist as seen in the exhibition for the duration of the show as all furniture in the piece has been borrowed and will be returned to its generous and trusting owners with the show's conclusion.
